When artists collaborate, beauty products are made to showcase. British Beauty blogger blogged about the collaboration between Avon and artist Marimekko, now I know Avon isn't exactly organic but Marimekko is a talented designer worth blogging about! The packaging is adorable, I love the mascara.British Beauty blogger also blogged about the Organic line Pur. The illustrations are fab for this packaging as well! I wouldn't mind trying the organic rose-hip moisturiser...

smooth skin from head to toe...

I have a habit of slathering myself from head to toe with moisturizer. This should be done daily (I believe) and immediately after bathing while skin is still damp to lock in moisture. Moisturizing can be time consuming but after a few weeks you'll have your routine down and see the difference. This is an easy step towards smooth skin. Shikai is a great body lotion and one of my long time favorites. The scents are fresh and clean. Also available non-scented. The lotion feels light on the skin and is perfect for sweaty summer months. Experiment until you find a lotion or body butter that suits you. Just avoid anything containing mineral oil!

the luxury of Jatamansi...

If you asked me what is my most desired product of the moment, I would have to say anything from the organic Jatamansi line by L'Artisan Parfumeur. While searching for products in Paris I came across the L'Artisan Parfumeur, a wonderful candle/perfume shop. On the shelf I noticed this wonderfully simple and beautiful glass bottle of expensive bath oil. I took one sniff and was sold, although honestly they had me at the packaging. Come to find out the line is organic and is available in body lotion, body oil and perfume. Available in the US at Bergdorf Goodman...for a price.

I love the scent of rose oil and its amazing skin benefits. I discovered an unbelievably pure rose lotion from the product selection of Martina Gebhardt. Martina Gebhardt is a line from Germany, well known and sought after by many organic product enthusiasts. This body lotion smells like fresh crushed rose petals and leaves skin with a velvety smooth touch. Available online at Beautorium.

products with great fruity ingredients...

I came across this wonderful company from Hawaii, Bubble Shack. They use fair trade Shea Butter for the lotions, organic ingredients, and because of the high content of aloe vera this makes for a great after-sun lotion. The scent is wonderful, rich and natural.

I previously mentioned the new line by Tarte cosmetics featuring products loaded with their special blend, t5 super fruit complex. Featuring Acai, the super berry from Brazil. Pictured above is the natural cheek stain in Full Blossom. Presevative-free, paraban free, mineral-oil free and phthalate free. Available now at Sephora.

Celebrate with skin softening massage bars by Lush. The massage bars serve as a luxurious massage oil or an after-shower body moisturizer. Almost every ingredient is organic and all are safe for the skin. If you haven't been to a Lush store be sure to stop in. Honestly the shop is a little overwhelming at first glance, but the products are intriguing and the sales staff are very helpful and friendly.

a few little facts about juice beauty...

I have been meaning to try products from Juice Beauty for some time now. Right now I am using the lightweight oil-free facial moisturizer. I have to say I am very pleased! It's not too heavy on my skin, I only need to use a little bit for a lot of coverage and the scent is pleasant. The moisturizer contains white grape and pomegranate juices with soothing aloe vera and leaves your skin with a matte finish. What I really love about Juice Beauty is their product content. It's one of my personal favorites and as the website says, this lotion melts into your skin, leaving even the driest pair of feet petal soft. designer/"product junkie" turned soap maker...

I came across the website for The Bubble Roome and fell for the packaging! Simply beautifully designed. I then discovered that the products are made with "goodness" and knew I had to post them on flawless beauty! I have not yet had the chance to try these but am going to do so the next time I'm shopping the boutiques in Brooklyn (where the company is based out of).

What I really like about The Bubble Roome is that a lot of thought was put into the packaging and shelf appeal. If you have been following the inspiration posts, you know why shelf appeal is so important to me! The Bubble Roome founder David E. Johnston has a design background and is a self-proclaimed "product junkie". These products also make perfect gifts, being as cute as they are...

Bonjour! I am very excited for todays post. I have been in Paris for the last couple months working on various projects, vacationing and of course researching beauty/skincare. Today is my last day in Paris, so in celebration of my amazing time here, todays post is all about organic french products!


I am not sure which of these below products can be ordered outside of France but if anything, it's a good list to have with you when your in France. Many of these can be found at the numerous natural food stores (magasin biologique or magasin bio for short). Such as the Bio Moi or Naturalia. Some products can also be found at the various pharmacies as well.

I also discovered an amazing website, cosmetiquesbio.net that has an incredible variety of organic products as well (in french).


This cream sensible by Ballot-flurin is something my friend Daisy discovered at Naturalia when she was here in Paris with me. We love it! The texture and scent has a slight clay like feeling and the lotion leaves your face with a fine soft matte finish. Perfect for people who feel their skin is too shiny. They also offer a honey shampoo, I am a huge fan of the lingering scent honey products leave. The packaging is cute as well...
The above PATYKA scent is Boise which translates to Timber. One of my good male friends requested that I bring him back a Cedar scent by one of his favorite Paris scent makers. I never paid much attention to woodsy scents until sent on this mission! They are actually quite nice and very appropriate for male or females. I was thrilled to come across this organic company PATYKA who has a nice, quaint store in Paris . The make all sorts of organic scents, oils and product with very nice shelf appeal.


SANOFLORE products are sold at all the pharmacies around Paris. The above is a hydrating spay similar to the one posted earlier by Jurlique...SANOFLORE also advertise their products to be baby friendly as well. I seem to notice a parisian trend with keeping babies smelling nice and dousing them with sprays, lol.


This is a very nice simple gentle exfoliating shower gel by Belle&Bio. Great for sensitive skin.And lastly we have a sensitive face cream by Mosqueta's, which focuses on using my favorite, Rose Mosqueta as the main ingredient in their products.

The beauty in Paris is amazing, so fresh and natural. The lifestyle differences between Paris and New York are extreme, (although the lifestyle differences between most places in the world and New York are extreme, lol). There is a lot more focus on eating of fresh foods with little preservatives and eating in smaller quantities than in the U.S.. The lifestyle is relaxed and people take time to dine. People to not take drinks to go, not even from Starbucks. Is it the combination of all of this and the lack of focus on fake beauty that makes naturally beautiful skin and quality lifestyle so apparent in Paris? Either way it was very inspiring to be around!.

I am going to be traveling in California for the next couple weeks, so if there is a delay in posts that is why...hopefully I will have some fun new products and spas to post about at the end of my west coast vacation for you!

something for the babies...

The baby blog the yellow feather made a post about a great natural brand vedaPURE. VedaPURE, created by Dr. Nataile Geary and offers great natural body products for babies, women and men. winter is almost here...

Winter is almost here which will mean for a lot of us, cold, dry skin. For years I have used Skin Food from Weleda. Skin Food is a deep-penetrating replenishing skin cream for dry patches of skin. Containing chamomile, calendula, wild pansy and a blend of essential oils. Skin Food can be applied anywhere on the body or left overnight on hands or feet for extra intensive care.

I use Skin Food for an entirely different purpose though, I use it as a highlighter on my face and anywhere else I want an extra glow. You can also achieve a dewy look on the eyes to hold eyeshadow. Think of Skin Food as a fabulous alternative to any kind of Vaseline product.

A friend of mine recommended products from Brown Bag. I love their site and philosophy. They have great Shea Butter products, I would suggest Lavender Orange Shea Butter, sounds delightful...
