a little Almond Oil can go a long way...

Above oil by Aura Cacia, available at auracacia.com.

It is still freezing in NYC and I am finding that my skin both feels and looks dry by the end of the day. I have always been a big moisture person so I tend to lather up with plenty of lotion in the AM, but the lotion isn't cutting it lately. Now I go straight to the source and use pure Almond Oil. I forget that a lot of the time less is more. Apply after a shower or bath and your skin will not only glow, but feel satisfied all day long. Oh, one tip I have for you, do not get dressed immediately after applying, let your skin soak it in, otherwise your clothing will! Available almost everywhere including your local health food store.

I've never used almond oil. I've enjoyed reading your posts. I have to admit, I've never put avocado, banana and yogurt on my skin either.

Aura Cacia's almond oil is wonderful! I use it as a base and add in rose geranium oil; this makes a good tick repellent that you can apply on your skin.

Love you blog! I found it through blogs of note. I also love using natural stuff on my skin such as almond oil, and pure shea butter.

I use almond oil for my face though. It's a good moisturizer for oily skin as almond oil is the closest replicaton to human body oil. It's good for you and doesn't make you breakout.

Great site and love this entry about Almond oil. Its so avant garde.

I highly recommend also trying grapeseed extract if you want firmer tighter skin and or you have oily, dark or large pores, mixed skin or uneven skin tone. It has wored wonders with my skin and it feels soooo smooth.

Its a very fine and light oil which spread and absorbs into the skin very nicely.

GNC sells 100% Grapeseed oil and Almond oil in case anyone is looking.
