Awakening Beauty the Dr. Hauschka Way...

My best friend introduced me to this amazing book, Awakening Beauty the Dr. Hauschka Way. Dr. Hauschka is one of my favorite product lines. This book is amazing because it places emphasis on the importance of beauty coming from the inside, beginning with how you feel on a day to day basis. Which as we know but do not always practice, all stems from what you put in your body & what kind of lifestyle you chose to live.

The book covers everything from skin care tips to recipes and food guides. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an informational read on healthy lifestyle and beauty!

at the spa....

Photo courtesy of d'mai urban spa website.
Going to the spa is one of my favorite luxuries of all time. I was actually inspired to start this blog while getting facials with my best friend one morning. I find it hard to find a great spa without getting a recommendation from a friend which is why I am doing a regular spa post. Any other spa recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

D'mai urban spa in Brooklyn, NY is one of my favorites. Its small, has amazing Balinese ambiance, very nice employees and in a cute neighborhood. If you don't live in Brooklyn its worth the trip over, then you can eat lunch afterward because there are many amazing restaurants near by.
I've tried their waxing services and facial services and were pleased with both. I've heard their massages are amazing as well!

a mask that exfoliates....

A fabulous mask from Aubrey Organics. Jojoba Meal & Oatmeal with Rose Mosqueta. Each time I use this mask, it leaves my face fresh and glowing. Although it is labeled for dry skin, I find it works great for normal skin as well. I am curious what someone with oily or sensitive skin would have to say about it.....

Traditionally, Rosa Mosqueta oil is obtained from rose hips from rose bushes that grow wild in the south of Chile. Seeds are collected and carefully processed to obtain a high concentration of essential fatty acids (77%) which provide remarkable tissue-regenerating and rejuvenating effects.

In fact,
Rosa Mosqueta oil has been collected from the Andes mountains and used by South Americans for generations to treat dry skin, help reduce signs of premature ageing and fade off blemishes such as pigmentation spots, stretch marks, acne scars and sun spots. It has also proven to be particularly effective in the treatment of scars and burns by improving skin quality, color and texture.
